Shelby Brooks is a nationally recognised expert and trainer in cosmetic and medical tattooing, specialising in natural-looking eyebrow tattoos, areola reconstruction, facelift and self-harm scar camouflage, and stretch mark tattooing. Based on the Gold Coast, Shelby began her career in 2013 after completing her first cosmetic tattooing certification. Since then, she has completed over 30 advanced training courses both nationally and internationally, firmly establishing herself as an industry leader.
With a background that includes 10 years of experience working alongside surgeons, doctors, and nurses, Shelby brings a medical-level understanding of the skin to her practice. In 2021, she founded Restore, a dedicated studio offering cosmetic and paramedical tattooing services, as well as specialised training in areola and scar camouflage tattooing.
As an accredited trainer (TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment), Shelby is committed to advancing the industry through comprehensive, high-level education. She has spent the last two years developing some of Australia’s most advanced medical tattooing courses, focused on restoring confidence through cutting-edge techniques.
Shelby’s vision for Restore is to provide a calm, inclusive space where artistry, precision, and compassion meet. Her passion lies in helping clients feel confident in their own skin, using tattooing not just as an aesthetic solution, but as a tool for healing. Among her most sought-after treatments are self-harm scar camouflage, areola tattooing for breast cancer and top surgery clients, and stretch mark camouflage.

Based on the Gold Coast, Restore is a dedicated cosmetic and medical tattooing studio specialising in restorative treatments for those who have experienced surgery, trauma, scarring, or significant life changes. Every procedure is approached with sensitivity, precision and a deep respect for each client’s story.
Our experienced team offer's advanced treatments including areola tattooing for post-mastectomy clients, scar camouflage, facelift scar blending, and stretch mark camouflage. Each service is performed with an in-depth understanding of skin anatomy, pigmentology and healing — ensuring results look natural, realistic and uniquely aligned to the individual.
Restore was founded in 2021 by Shelby Brooks, a nationally recognised cosmetic and medical tattooing specialist with over a decade of experience. In 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to train in Eyebrow Tattooing under the guidance of Shelby at Restore. This experience has added a new level of artistry to my work. My favourite technique is nano hair strokes, which deliver an ultra-realistic look by mimicking natural brow hairs with fine, precise strokes. This method is perfect for those seeking a soft, natural enhancement that blends seamlessly with their existing brows.
